The Dedicated Server Doctor provides the following core services. For subscribers, we also offer additional services such as general server maintenance and script installation at a discounted hourly rate.

Server Hardening And Tune-Up - $59

The purpose of our server hardening service is to greatly reduce the risk of intruders breaking into your server. We also check your MX and SPF records. These are DNS (Domain Name Server) records which can have a significant effect on the percentage of outbound email messages that are successfully delivered from your mail server.

The Server Hardening and Tune-Up provides the following services:

Firewall installation and configuration - we will install a firewall that restricts access to vulnerable systems and services.
A full scan of your server for malicious software.
DNS configuration check.
SPF record check.
Mail server MX check - If needed we will assist you in requesting a reverse MX record from your hosting provider and will ensure that your mail server is correctly configured.

Server Hardening, Monitoring And Sysadmin - $59 first month, then $39/mth

The Server Hardening, Monitoring And Sysadmin service provides all the features of the Server Hardening and Tune-Up PLUS ongoing monitoring of your server logs and regular scans for malicious software installations. You will also have access to our helpdesk for any server related enquiries and general server maintenance and one of our experienced system administrators will be assigned to your server.

The monthly physical provides the following services:

Firewall installation and configuration - we will install a firewall that restricts access to vulnerable systems and services.
A full scan of your server for malicious software.
DNS configuration check.
Mail server MX check - If needed we will assist you in requesting a reverse MX record from your hosting provider and will ensure that your mail server is correctly configured.
Monitoring of your server logs - If we detect any intrusion attempts or server errors we will take the necessary remedial steps.
Check Your Backups - we will check to make sure your scheduled backups are running successfully.
Regular scans - your server will be scanned weekly for malicious software.
Unlimited support for server issues such as slowness, server errors etc.

Dedicated Server Setup (WHM) - $79 (optional $19/month ongoing support)

So, you ordered your very first dedicated server. A day or two later you received one or more email messages telling you the FTP information, SSH information, your ‘root’ password, WHM login and CPanel information.

Well, you may not have received all of that information, but you would have received at least some of the above. That’s fine for someone who knows what it all means, but if you are the average Joe/Joanne, some of it may just look like a foreign language and WAY too many acronyms.

The Dedicated Server Doctor setup service is a consulting and technical service to provide you all the assistance you need to get that server up and running. Here is what we will do for your new server:

Set up a strong firewall - within hours of your server going online, automated programs will be trying to hack their way in. We will prevent approximately 90% of these attempts and assist you in taking other measures to make your server as secure as possible.

Set up your first domain - your server is going to need a domain and a proper name. If you already have your domain chosen, we will set that up for you on your server.

Mail Server Setup - chances are your mail server wil have neither a reverse MX or an SPF record. Both of these settings improve the deliverability of your emails. We will set these up for you.

Helpdesk Support - we will provide you a full thirty days of helpdesk support after your server goes online. If you need to know how to add more domains, how to upload your files or anything else related to your server, you will have helpdesk assistance from one of our technicians.

There are two pricing options for this service. You can opt to purchase just the setup service with 30 days helpdesk support for $79, or you can purchase the setup service with ongoing helpdesk support for $79 plus an additional monthly fee of just $19/month.
